Dear Parents and Carers,
I want to send this message to all of you to thank you for your support with our MacMillan Coffee morning on Friday 27th September. We have never hosted a coffee morning for parents before and I was a little nervous about hosting it in these difficult times for everyone. However, as you are all aware, cancer affects every family and many of us have used the incredible services of the Macmillan nurses and I felt it was important to play our part.
Yet again I was totally overwhelmed with the generosity of you all. There were so many buns and cakes donated and such a fantastic turnout of parents, grandparents, friends and family. It was so lovely to see you all and from the feedback I received on the day you also enjoyed the craic! We even had three or four winners from Mrs Magennis' quizzes!
A special thanks to Mrs Collins, Mrs Magennis and Mrs Deery for all their work behind the scenes to get the day organised. I am delighted to announce that we raised the grand total of £1,262 for this fantastic cause. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity. It never seizes to amaze me what we can all do when work together.
