Ugandan Visitors 2015-2016
Our Ugandan visitors from St Agnes’ in Entebbe (our TUNSIP Project partner school) arrived on Monday 21 September 2015. Deo and Annet spent the week in school, visiting some classes and telling the children all about life in Uganda. While they were here they got the chance to explore some of our main attractions; Belfast City Hall, Belfast City Sight Seeing Tour, Stormont, Cultra Ulster Folk & Transport Museum, Giant’s Causeway, Ballycastle, Newcastle, Downpatrick and Ballyhornan. Our visitors also enjoyed Belfast’s cuisine and of course they got to sample some of Ireland’s famous Guinness!
At a farewell celebration, the school presented Deo and Annet with two projectors purchased as a result of all our previous fundraising efforts. They were delighted with the gifts and have already sent photographs of the projectors being put to good use. Our Ugandan partners were so appreciative of the generosity always shown by our parents and children here in St. Kevin’s and expressed huge gratitude. They returned home to Uganda on Monday 28 September and will soon be joined by Mr Ferris and Miss Toman, who will be travelling to Entebbe in November.
